Environmental Justice Act Enhanced Outreach to Disproportionately Impacted Communities
In July 2021, the Colorado legislature passed the Environmental Justice Act (House Bill 21-1266). Colorado’s EJ Act commits to strengthening environmental justice and prioritizes reducing environmental and health harms in disproportionately impacted communities.
The regional haze round is where there will be opportunity for public comment about communities impacted by air pollution.

The Environmental Protection Agency will be holding hearings on new regulations to reduce methane and other harmful emissions from oil and gas operations in the United States. As noted, the hearings will take place on November 30 and December 1 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and December 2 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Times listed are for the EASTERN TIME ZONE.
