Although the Board of Directors of the Platte River Power Authority has already voted to support inclusion of a gas-fired “aero-derivative” turbine as “back up” power replacing the coal-fired Rawhide facility, join your fellow citizens in expressing disapproval of this decision. We also support letting the Fort Collins Energy Board know we appreciate their stance against this project, which flies int he face of PRPA’s pledge to be at zero-carbon in energy generation by 2030, and comes with significant costs to ratepayers in Northern Colorado. . .
